Jazz Routs Perth Wildcats In Preseason Opener

SALT LAKE CITY-In his first appearance as an NBA player in the preseason, Utah Jazz first-round draft pick Grayson Allen posted 19 points on 7 of 14 shooting and 5 of 9 behind the arc in a 130-72 rout of the Perth Wildcats Saturday evening at the Vivint Smart Arena.

The prolific Jazz shot 54.7 percent from the field against the National Basketball League-affiliated Wildcats of Perth, Australia.

Alec Burks added 18 points on 6-8 shooting for the Jazz, who built a 44-13 lead afater the 1st Quarter and never looked back.

The Jazz are next in action Tuesday at home against the Toronto Raptors at 7:00 p.m. as the preseason continues.
