Jared Hendry Named As Wasatch Boys’ Soccer Coach

HEBER CITY, Utah-This past weekend, Jared Hendry was named as the boys’ soccer coach at Wasatch High School.

Hendry, a Midway native, played various sports during his time as an athlete for the Wasps and has always had a particular love for soccer, per wasatchhighathletics.com.

Since 2006, Hendry has been employed by the Wasatch School District, and followed his mother, Shanna Hendry, into teaching.

He has taught physical education and health in various schools in the district for the past 12 years.

Hendry commenced his coaching career at Mountain View High School in Orem in 2001 and also coached the Utah Rangers.

Shortly thereafter, Hendry married and then put his coaching career on hiatus while graduating from the University of Utah.

In 2006, Hendry commenced his time in the Wasatch School District by teaching at Rocky Mountain Middle School and then became an assistant on Damien Wheatley’s staff.

Since that time, he has served as an assistant for both the Wasps’ boys and girls’ soccer teams while also sharing his talents with the Heber Valley Soccer Club, assisting in some of their training.

Among his first tasks is overseeing the Wasps’ boys team as they participate in the Snow College camp this week in Ephraim.
