CEDAR CITY, Utah-Four Southern Utah football student-athletes have been named to college football insider Phil Steele’s 2020 preseason All-Big Sky teams ahead of the 2020 campaign.
The Thunderbirds on the squad are as follows:
-Redshirt junior offensive lineman Braxton Jones. The 6-7 310-pound lineman out of Murray High School was named a sophomore All-American by HERO Sports in 2019.
-Senior receiver Landen Measom earned a spot on the first team as an all-purpose player. The Bingham High School product has 53 receptions for 608 yards and four scores in his career.
-Redshirt sophomore cornerback Carlton Johnson. The native of Moreno Valley, Calif. led the Thunderbirds with three interceptions in 2019.
-Redshirt junior cornerback A.J. Stanley. The native of Santa Clarita, Calif. posted one forced fumble, two pass breakups and 2.5 tackles for a loss last season for the Thunderbirds. Stanley had 71 tackles last season for SUU.
