Former Utah/Broncos Tailback Devontae Booker Signs With the Raiders

LAS VEGAS-Per news first reported by ABC 10 of Sacramento, former University of Utah and Denver Broncos tailback Devontae Booker has found a new home in the AFC West with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Booker, who amassed 3,395 scrimmage yards with the Utes and 23 total touchdowns in two seasons (2014-2015), was a 4th round pick by the Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft.

While in Denver, Booker posted 1,103 rushing yards and added 872 receiving yards, scoring seven net touchdowns in the past four seasons.

Booker was the Broncos’ leading rusher in 2016, posting 612 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

However, with the emergence of other tailbacks, such as Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay in recent seasons, his opportunities in the Broncos’ backfield began to diminish, setting up a new start with the Raiders.
