Dixie State Men’s Basketball Sees Five Earn All-RMAC Academic Honors

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Monday, five Dixie State men’s basketball student-athletes received all-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference academic honors.

Headlining the Trailblazers to be honored was junior guard Dason Youngblood, who earned first-team all-academic RMAC honors for the 2019-20 academic year.

Youngblood has a 3.72 GPA in communication studies.

Others include senior guard Cameron Chatwin (3.86 GPA, recreation and sport management), senior guard Jack Pagenkopf (3.36 GPA, business administration) and sophomore forwards Josh Newbold (3.47 GPA, business administration) Jacob Nicolds (3.91 GPA, business administration) each of whom made the RMAC honor roll.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 GPA and been an active student at the institution he/she attends for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
