Dixie State Men’s Basketball Gets Past Regis In RMAC Quarterfinals Tuesday

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Hunter Schofield amassed 24 points and 8 rebounds on 8-16 from the field and the Dixie State Trailblazers surged past Regis 84-71 Tuesday at Burns Arena in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference quarterfinals.

Newly-crowned RMAC player of the year, guard Jack Pagenkopf, added 14 points and 5 assists on 5-9 from the field for the 23-6 Trailblazers, who shot 57.1 percent (12-21) from the field in the second half and 50 percent for the game.

Frank Staine and Andrew Wilson added 13 points apiece for Dixie State, who next hosts Colorado Mesa Friday at 7:00 pm in the RMAC semifinals.

Brian Dawson had 28 points on 9-17 from the field and Christian Little added 20 more points in the loss for the Rangers.
