DENVER-Per a Monday statement, Dixie State junior men’s basketball forward Jacob Nicolds was named as the WAC player of the week.
Nicolds, a 6-5 junior out of Gilbert, Ariz., netted 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game to lead Dixie State to wins over North Dakota and St. Katherine to commence their season.
Nicolds currently is tied for eighth in the WAC in scoring, is fifth in rebounding, third in field goal percentage (68.8 percent), tied for ninth in field goal percentage (80 percent) and steals (3) and tied for fourth in defensive rebounds (13).
Dixie State returns to action December 12 at Denver.
