Dixie State Football To Host Stadium Groundbreaking, Tailgate and Football Scrimmage October 24

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Dixie State University’s football program has confirmed a stadium groundbreaking ceremony is slated for October 24.

The festivities commence with a tailgate party at the Dixie State Innovation Plaza Field across from the stadium at 4:30 pm.

At 6:00 pm, this will be followed up by a special groundbreaking ceremony for the Greater Zion Stadium west grandstand.

At 7:00 pm, a scrimmage will occur.

This represents the first time the Dixie State football program will have had a chance to compete this fall.

Dixie State will also unveil its new digital scoreboard and video board. This is to be located in the south end zone area.

These events are free and open to all Dixie State students, faculty, staff and the general public.
