ST. GEORGE, Utah-Friday, Dixie State football commences fall camp ahead of the season opener against Colorado State-Pueblo September 7.
New head coach Paul Peterson, formerly of Snow College, has taken the reins of the program and is joined by defensive coordinator Tyler Almond, defensive line coach Loni Fangupo, linebackers coach Misi Tupe, cornerbacks coach Mike Smith, offensive line coach John Hughes, running backs coach Peter Tuitupou, receivers coach JD Falslev, special teams coach/director of football operations Mike Fassel, offensive assistant/defensive quality control coach Terrance Grant and offensive assistant Tanner Balderree. Football athletic trainer Bruno Silva also returns for his fourth tour of duty with the program.
The Trailblazers will also conclude their regular season at home with a November 16 senior day game against Adams State in their final season at the NCAA Division II level.
