ST. GEORGE, Utah-Saturday, No. 24 Dixie State pummeled Adams State 22-2 and 23-2 at Bruce Hurst Field in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference baseball action.
In the first game, the Trailblazers exploded for eight first inning runs with Tyson Fisher’s grand slam punctuating Dixie State’s dominance.
Jack Gonzales earned the win on the mound, improvig to 2-1 on the season.
In the second game, Dixie State built a 14-0 lead with Fisher and Tanner Harper each homering to help the Trailblazers improve to 14-3 and 3-0 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.
In this game, Jimmy Borzone earned the win on the mound for Dixie State, as he improved to 1-0 on the young season.
Having clinched the series win, Dixie State will play Adams State Sunday at 12:00 pm at Bruce Hurst Field to conclude the series.
