SAN MARCOS, Calif.-Jake Engel homered and had a pair of RBI as the Dixie State Trailblazers blanked Cal State San Marcos 7-0 Sunday at CSUSM Baseball Field in non-conference college baseball action.
Kaden Hollow added two more RBI for the Trailblazers, who improved to 3-0 on the season in completing the sweep of the Cougars.
Tevita Gerber earned the win on the mound for Dixie State, netting six strikeouts in six innings of work.
The Trailblazers return to action Friday and Saturday at Los Angeles against Northwest Nazarene on the campus of Cal State-Los Angeles.
Dixie State will then be the guests of the Golden Eagles Saturday and Sunday.
