SEATTLE-Thursday, Dixie State women’s swimming prevailed 187-71 over Seattle U. at the William Eisiminger Fitness Center.
Former Wasatch High School star, sophomore freestyle swimmer Claire Kieffer excelled for the Trailblazers.
She swam the first leg on the championship-winning women’s 200-yard freestyle relay, helping the Trailblazers’ “A team” to a time of 1:41.15.
Kieffer was joined by freshman free/breast competitor Kathryn Carter, freshman free/fly/im competitor Akalia Bostock and senior free/relays/medley/medley relays competitor Miriam Gonzalez.
In the individual womens’ 200-yard freestyle, Kieffer placed fifth in a time of 2:03.52.
In the womens’ 100-yard freestyle, Kieffer placed fifth (57:14). She was disqualified from the women’s 50-yard freestyle.
Kieffer and her Trailblazers teammates are next in action Saturday at Moscow, Idaho at the Idaho Duals.
