REXBURG, Idaho-Carter Bucad posted 154 scrimmage yards and ran for a pair of scores and added his first career passing touchdown as the Wasatch Wasps blitzed Madison (Idaho) 34-13 Saturday in non-region football play. Bucad relieved the injured Mac Kelson (9-16, 173 yards, TD) in the second half after the Wasps had built a 20-0 lead at the half. Colton Bassett added a touchdown run and Abe Wheeler recorded an interception for the Wasps in victory.
Wasatch improved to 1-2 on the season and next hosts Weber Friday at 7:00 pm at Wright-Tree Stadium for the first home game of the season. Tune into Ty & Ty Friday at 6:30 pm on 94.5 The Peak for this broadcast against the Class 6A Warriors.
