BYU Men’s Basketball Wins First Game in Italy Monday

FLORENCE, Italy-Monday, BYU men’s basketball commenced its tour of Italy successfully by prevailing 92-64 over BC Silute, a Lithuanian professional squad based in Silute, Lithuania.

TJ Haws netted 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Cougars, connecting on 7-10 shots from the field and making 5 of his 8 attempts from range while also netting a pair of steals.

Yoeli Childs (16 points), Jake Toolson (13 points) and Zac Seljaas (12 points) also were complementary in the Cougars’ victory.

The Cougars’ Tuesday game has already commenced from Rome as they are facing LCC International at the Arena Altero Felici in the Italian capital city.
