BYU Men’s Basketball Receives Three All-WCC Honors



SAN BRUNO, Calif.-Wednesday, BYU men’s basketball received three all-West Coast Conference honors from consistent stalwarts this season.

Junior forward Yoeli Childs (20.7 points, 9.5 rebounds per contest) made the all-conference first team. He placed in the top 15 in the conference in field goal percentage, steals, blocks, offensive rebounds and minutes played.

TJ Haws, a junior guard, netted 18.8 points, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals during the conference schedule, making the all-WCC second team. Haws ranks fifth in the conference in points per game, fourth in assists, second in free throw percentage and third in assist/turnover ratio.

Gavin Baxter, a product of Timpview High School, averaged 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game as well as a team-best 1.6 blocks per contest.

Baxter also shot a team-best 68.1 percent from the field.
