KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Thursday, the National Association of Basketball Coaches confirmed BYU and UVU men’s basketball are among the programs to receive a team academic excellence award for the 2018-19 season.
These awards recognize a team’s outstanding academic achievement with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
This commemorates the third consecutive season BYU has received the team academic excellence award from the NABC.
The Cougars and Wolverines are among only 39 Division I schools to receive this honor as well as the only two programs in the Beehive State to achieve so highly.
