ROME-Tuesday, BYU men’s basketball improved to 2-0 on their Italian tour with an 87-46 rout of LCC International of Klaipeda, Lithuania at Arena Altero Felici of Rome.
University of Arizona transfer Alex Barcello netted a team-high 15 points for the Cougars with Kolby Lee posting 13 points and nine rebounds for BYU.
Additionally, Yoeli Childs filled up the stat sheet with 12 points, 11 boards and seven assists.
The stingy Cougars’ defense also held the Moose to 33.3 percent shooting from the field and BYU was +11 (44-33) on the glass.
The Cougars take Wednesday off before reconvening on the hardwood Thursday against Rome-based amateur basketball club A.S. Stella Azzurra at 12:30 pm MDT at Arena Altero Felici.
