PROVO, Utah-Per a report from Friday, BYU men’s basketball announced the transfer of 6-5 guard Jake Toolson into the program from nearby Utah Valley University.
Toolson, who graduated from UVU earlier this spring, was a The Associated Press honorable-mention All-American last season.
The 2019-20 WAC player of the year averaged a team-best 15.7 points for the Wolverines and added 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game as well.
Toolson shot 53.7 percent from the field last season as well as 44.8 percent behind the arc and 85.1 percent at the foul line.
Toolson commenced his collegiate career at BYU. During his first stint with the Cougars, he averaged 2.8 points and 1.5 rebounds per game from 2014-2016.
