PROVO, Utah-Tuesday, BYU football junior tight end Matt Bushman was named as the John Mackey Tight End of the week for his performance in the Cougars’ 28-25 upset win of No. 14 Boise State last Saturday.
The native of Tucson, Ariz. netted five receptions for 101 yards and two touchdown grabs against the Broncos, setting career bests for receiving yards and touchdowns in a game.
Bushman, a freshman-All American in 2017, has 28 receptions for 398 yards and three scores for the Cougars this season.
During his career at BYU, he has 106 grabs for 1,429 yards and eight touchdown receptions.
