BYU Baseball’s Jackson Cluff and Brock Hale Receive All-Region Honors

PROVO, Utah-Friday, BYU baseball had a pair of the star players from the 2019 season honored for their stellar play on the field.

Senior right fielder Brock Hale and sophomore shortstop Jackson Cluff were named to the ABCA/Rawlings West All-Region Second Team.

This duo led the Cougars in virtually every statistical category en route to a 36-17 record and a West Coast Conference regular season championship.

Hale, the WCC player of the year, started all 53 games on the season at right field, leading the Cougars with a .330 batting average, 67 hits, 11 home runs, a .571 slugging percentage, 38 walks and a .460 on-base percentage.

Cluff, an all-WCC selection, also started all 53 games during the 2019 season and posted 57 runs, 20 doubles, three triples, 56 RBI and 12 stolen bases.

Cluff has recently signed a contract with the Washington Nationals after they drafted him in the sixth round of the MLB Draft earlier this month.
