Bradlee Anae Wins Morris Trophy

SEATTLE-Late Saturday, Utah football senior defensive end Bradlee Anae was named the recipient of the Morris Trophy, annually given to the most outstanding offensive and defensive linemen in the Pac-12.

The award, in its 40th year of existence, is unique as it is bestowed upon those voted the best in the conference at their line position by offensive linemen for defensive players and defensive linemen for offensive players.

Anae is the fourth Ute in program history to receive this honor. Others include current Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Star Lotuleilei (2011) and Washington Redskins outside linebacker Nate Orchard (2014), who played on the defensive line as a collegian.

Anae, who will compete as a collegian for the last time December 31 at the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio against Texas, currently has 29.5 career sacks, tied for the most in school history.

He also ranks fourth all-time in program annals in tackles for loss (41).
