RENO, Nev.-Ryan Waldschmidt and Tommy Troy homered and the Reno Aces stonewalled Salt Lake 8-3 Saturday at Greater Nevada Field in Pacific Coast League play, securing the series win.
Yilber Díaz netted four strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Reno.
Denzer Guzman, Niko Kavadas and Jose Siri were each attributed with an RBI in defeat for the Bees.
Following Saturday’s results, the Aces improved to 9-5 and the Bees fell to 4-10.
The squads return to action Sunday at 2:05 pm at Greater Nevada Field to conclude the series.
