Aces Roll Past Bees Wednesday

RENO, Nev.-Matt O’Neill homered and the Reno Aces scored 10 net runs in the 7th and 8th Innings to surge past Salt Lake 14-8 Wednesday at Greater Nevada Field in Pacific Coast League play. Yilber Díaz pitched one inning of scoreless ball to earn the win on the mound for Reno. Trey Mancini homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Wednesday’s results, the Aces improved to 7-4 on the season while the Bees slumped to 3-8. Salt Lake has also started the season 0-5 in Nevada having been swept at Las Vegas to start the season and has lost the first two games of this series. The squads return to action Thursday at 7:05 pm at Greater Nevada Field for the third game in the series.
