The Utah firefighter who died fighting the Mendocino Complex Fire in California was a member of the Draper City Fire Department according to officials. He was one of five Draper firefighters sent to California to help. The firefighter was protecting life and property while battling the blaze, Draper Mayor Troy Walker said during an early-morning news conference Tuesday.
