The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from noon Thursday to 10 PM MDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA…Fire Weather Zone 479 Wasatch Mountains and Fire Weather Zone 482 Western Uintah Basin.
* WINDS…West 10 to 20 mph with gusty to 35 mph Thursday afternoon and evening, then northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph Friday afternoon and evening.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…10 to 15 percent each afternoon.
* IMPACTS…Fire weather conditions may become critical across the watch areas. New fire starts could spread rapidly.
