Zion National Park Visitor Cited for Base Jumping

ZION NATIONAL PARK, Utah-This past weekend, a man from the Salt Lake City area was cited for base jumping at Zion National Park.

Per a park statement, the man and his two travel companions were also cited for violating a raptor nesting enclosure and camping out of bounds.

Zion National Park Chief Ranger Daniel Fagergren confirmed that although the park is not charging entrance fees at this time, law enforcement rangers are still patrolling.

Park rules are still in effect and all violators will be cited.
