TOOELE, Utah-Early Wednesday, a driver traveling the wrong way on I-80 in Tooele County died in a head-on collision.
Utah Highway Patrol representatives responded to calls of a truck driving west in the eastbound lanes at about 12:45 am, per Utah Highway Patrol Sergeant Evan Kirby.
As troopers were responding, the vehicle crashed head-on into a semi-truck.
The wrong-way driver, a 43-year-old Kirk Manor of Ogden, died in this collision.
His name has not yet been released pending notification of family.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured at the time of his passing.
Investigators scoured through the debris for evidence, but do not yet know why the vehicle was traveling the long way.
