SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, 22-year-old Morgaine Huey was booked into the Salt Lake County jail after police say she stabbed the man her husband was fighting.
Huey was booked for investigation of aggravated assault.
Around 9:00 pm, Huey’s husband got into a fight with another man near 2200 S. Highland Drive.
The police affidavit states that her husband was getting hurt and it appeared he was losing the fight.
Huey then pulled an object out, stabbing the victim. This caused him to fall to the ground. Huey denied pulling out a knife or stabbing the victim, per the affidavit.
Authorities believe a screwdriver was used in the attack. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery.
Salt Lake Police detective Greg Wilking, per a Tuesday report, said the man’s condition was not considered life-threatening.
