SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, covid-19 statistics were updated for Utah by the state Department of Health.
69.61 percent of covid-19 cases statewide (97,269-139,720) are recovered per Wednesday’s report.
29.9 percent of covid-19 cases in Utah (41,773-139,720) are active cases.
The 1,294 new recoveries in the past 24 hours exceed the 1,035 new active cases in the past 24 hours.
There are 55,496 more recoveries than active cases in Utah, a net increase of 259 in the past 24 hours.
Of the 6,395 all-time covid-19 hospitalizations statewide, 446 are currently hospitalized or 6.97 percent.
Of the 446, 182 are in ICU or 40.81 percent of ICU occupancy. ICU is 75.8 percent occupied in Utah per Wednesday’s report.
There are 678 deaths attributed to covid-19 in Utah. This caused the death percentage to drop again. It is currently 0.4852 percent.
Wasatch County has 1,443 all-time cases, 49 all-time hospitalizations and 10 all-time deaths attributed to covid-19.
