SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, covid-19 statistics for Utah were updated by the state department of health.

72.38 percent of covid-19 cases statewide (161,077-222,545) are recovered per Wednesday’s report.

27.2 percent of covid-19 cases statewide (60,473-222,545) are active cases per Wednesday’s report.

In the past 24 hours, new recoveries (2,958) exceeded new net recorded cases (2,574) and new active cases (-407).

There are 100,604 more recoveries than active cases statewide.

Of the 9,105 all-time hospitalizations for covid-19, 581 are currently hospitalized or 6.38 percent.

Of the 581, 223 are in ICU or 38.4 percent of ICU occupancy.

Statewide, 88.7 percent of ICU beds are occupied and 93.4 percent of ICU referral center beds.

995 deaths have been attributed to covid-19 statewide or 0.4471 percent of all-time cases.

Wasatch County has 2,599 all-time covid-19 cases, 69 all-time hospitalizations and 13 deaths attributed to the virus.
