SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, statistics for covid-19 in Utah were updated by the state department of health.

68.7 percent of cases statewide (138,995-202,220) are recovered.

30.8 percent of cases in Utah (62,319-202,220) are active cases.

In the past 24 hours, new recoveries (2,286) exceeded new active cases (1,702).

There are 76,676 more recoveries than active cases statewide per Wednesday’s report.

Of the 8,423 all-time hospitalizations for covid-19, 571 (-4 from Tuesday) are currently hospitalized or 6.8 percent.

Of the 571, 202 are in ICU (-3 from Tuesday) or 35.4 percent of ICU occupancy statewide.

82.4 percent of ICU beds statewide are occupied and 85.9 percent of ICU referral center beds.

906 deaths have been attributed to covid-19 statewide, or 0.448 percent of all-time cases.

Wasatch County has 2,323 all-time covid-19 cases, 61 all-time hospitalizations and 13 all-time deaths attributed to the virus.
