SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, covid-19 statistics for Utah were updated by the state Department of Health.
There have been 65,921 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 877 in the past 24 hours.
775,858 Utahns have been tested for covid-19, a net increase of 6,899 in the past 24 hours.
There have been 52,357 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah, an increase of 412 in the past 24 hours. 79.42 percent of Utah covid-19 cases are recovered per Wednesday’s report.
There are currently 13,120 active cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 464 active cases in the past 24 hours.
19.90 percent of covid-19 cases in Utah are active presently.
There have been 3,584 recorded hospitalizations of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 34 in the past 24 hours.
Of these, 171 are currently hospitalized, or 4.8 percent. 65 of the 171 are in ICU, or 38 percent. ICU is presently 68 percent occupied.
Deaths attributed to covid-19 in Utah increased by one in the past 24 hours, to 444. The death percentage in Utah continues to drop. It is presently at 0.673 percent.
Wasatch County saw 11 new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours, increasing the total to 724. There are currently 32 hospitalizations, a decrease of one in the past 24 hours and 7 deaths.
The death total in Wasatch County has not increased since August 28, the date of the last attributed death to covid-19 in the Heber Valley.
