Utah’s National Parks Preparing To Reopen Later This Month

SALT LAKE CITY-Utah’s five national parks are preparing to reopen at various times this month.

On May 5, Capitol Reef National Park will open up to visitors while on May 6, Bryce Canyon National Park will do the same.

As of May 13, Zion National Park will provide day-use recreational access to select areas within the park. This action is supporting the White House guidelines for reopening America and will be done through the contributions of the state of Utah, southwest Utah elected leaders, park partners and local businesses.

Presently, Arches and Canyonlands State Parks will remain closed as they both seek the safest way to reopen.

Even with Zion National Park still closed at this stage, S.R. 9 and Kolob Terrace Road will remain open for the needs of local residents only.
