Utah Legislature Passes Redistricting Map

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah lawmakers pass a new GOP-backed congressional map aimed at protecting the state’s all-Republican U.S. House delegation. Monday’s vote follows a court order requiring the legislature to redraw the map ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The proposed map splits Salt Lake County into two districts instead of the current four. The map still requires approval from the district court that mandated the redrawing.
