(Salt Lake City, UT) — People who experience sexual harassment or assault at work, and have previously signed an NDA, may soon be able to speak out. The Employment Confidentiality Amendments would keep Utah businesses from being able to have employees sign a nondisclosure agreement or a non-disparagement clause. Republican representative Kera Birkeland’s bill has been flying through the house and would extend to any already signed NDAs as well. This bill would act in unison with the federal Speak Now Act of 2022 that nullifies NDA’s signed before abuse.
