(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah is launching an ad blitz warning parents about the harms social media platforms can pose to their children. Governor Spencer Cox unveiled the campaign at a new conference at the State Capitol on Thursday. The 30-second commercial features children wearing masks while doomscrolling on apps and enduring hurtful comments as a narrator warns that children are being served content that can harm their mental health. The ad encourages people to get offline and make in-person connections. Cox said the ad will appear on TV, billboards, and social media platforms.
