(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s unemployment rate ticked up slightly in June but employment grew in all but one industry. More than one-point-seven million Utahns had jobs in June, a nearly three-percent increase over June of last year, while the unemployment rate was two-point-four percent, up from two-point-three percent a year ago. Jobs increased in ten of Utah’s eleven non-farm employment categories, with only financial activities showing a one-percent decline.
