Utah COVID-19 Stats Released Friday

SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, the Utah Department of Health released the COVID-19 statistics accumulated over the course of the past 24 hours.

Presently, there are 6,913 positive tests for COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 164 from Thursday and a net increase of 35 cases in the past 24 hours.

There have been 163,218 total tests for COVID-19 administered in Utah and there were 3,099 tests administered in the past 24 hours.

This slightly raises the overall positive test percentage to 4.235 percent. In the past 24 hours, 5.29 percent of Utahns tested for COVID-19 tested positive.

There have been 566 hospitalizations in Utah from COVID-19. This is an increase of 8 in the past 24 hours.

There are two new deaths from COVID-19 in the past two days, increasing the total to 77.

Wasatch County presently has 196 cases of COVID-19. This is an increase of 8 cases in the past 24 hours. There are 8 hospitalizations and one death in Wasatch County, which occurred April 10.

The next news conference from the Utah Coronavirus Task Force is expected Monday.
