Utah Bill Expands Free Lunch Program

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A bill to expand free lunch access to more students in Utah has passed both the Utah House and Senate. The bill will provide no-cost meals to around 40-thousand families, many of whom already qualify for reduced-cost lunches. Additionally, HB 100 will expand the state’s summer lunch program. HB 100 now heads to Governor Spencer Cox for final approval.
