UT Boaters On Lake Powell May Get New Service As Dangling Rope Closes

(Glen Canyon, UT) — A marina on Lake Powell is never going to reopen. Dangling Rope in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area has shut down before for low water levels but this time it’s staying closed. Officials with the National Park Service confirmed this yesterday, saying the loss of water wells and damage to the electrical system means it’s unsustainable. But they know mid-lake fuel service is important to boaters and are working to find a way a solution.
