University of Utah Tennis Player Charged with Rape

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A University of Utah tennis player has been charged with six first-degree felonies, including two counts of rape. Twenty-one-year-old Berk Bugarik faces charges related to a sexual assault reported to have occurred last November. Bugarik joined the team in 2022 and was ranked as high as Number 115 nationally in singles during the 2024-2025 season.
