UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST, Utah-The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest has updated its construction report for 4th of July weekend on U.S. Highway 40 in Strawberry Valley from Daniels Summit to milepost 46.
Roadway activity will pause from Friday July 3-Monday July 6. Traffic control barriers will remain on U.S. 40 at this time.
Drivers can expect all lanes to be open during this holiday weekend.

For driver safety and the safety of workers near travel lanes, the speed limit is reduced to 55 miles per hour.
Motorists are kindly asked to slow down in work zones, not to drive while drowsy or otherwise impaired, put away distracting devices and to always buckle up.
Earthwork and ground leveling continue between mileposts 35-37 and 40-46 as crews work on shoulders, side roads and escape ramps.
Asphalt paving operations in prepared areas are moving westward.
Drivers should be prepared for changing lane configurations, reduced speeds, delays of up to 15 minutes and possible flagging and pilot car operations as needed.
Restrictions also remain in effect at this time for heavy and wide loads exceeding 12 feet.
It is anticipated that this construction will be done in Fall 2020.
