UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST, Utah-Because of continued dry conditions and predicted warming trends, the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest is extending stage 1 fire restrictions through October 15.

This means fires are prohibited. This consists of a ban on igniting, building, maintaining or using a fire outside a fire structure provided by the U.S. Forest Service within a developed campground, picnic or day use area.
The only exceptions are using a petroleum stove or grill that can be turned on and off.
Smoking is prohibited an enclosed vehicle or building.
Exceptions include smoking while stopped in an area at least three feet in diameter that is clear of all flammable material.
