(Orem, UT) — The suspect accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk is scheduled to appear virtually in court today. Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray charged 22-year-old Tyler Robinson with aggravated murder on September 16th, a charge that carries the possibility of the death penalty. Kirk was shot September 10th while speaking at an outdoor Turning Point event at Utah Valley University. Former President Trump has publicly stated he hopes Robinson receives the death penalty if convicted. The hearing will proceed remotely, allowing the court to address pretrial matters without Robinson appearing in person.
