Two in Custody, Two At-Large After Police Pursuit in Heber City

HEBER CITY, Utah-Per a report from FOX 13 News of Salt Lake City, Heber City Police are searching for two persons of interest after a police pursuit ended in a Tuesday morning crash.

Detective Tammy Thacker of the Heber City Police Department has increased patrols in certain neighborhoods in response to recent auto thefts and burglaries in the community.

An officer on patrol attempted a traffic stop around 2:30 am Tuesday morning when the driver of a small passenger car failed to stop at a stop sign.

When the driver didn’t stop, the officer followed and the driver ultimately crashed the vehicle.

Two were taken into custody while two others fled the scene.

Authorities did not release the names of those taken into custody but confirmed they are searching for Cole Morgan Watanuki and Michael Lopez, the persons of interest.
