SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, results were released for COVID-19 in the Beehive State.
The Utah Department of Health has had problems releasing the data throughout the day as their Web site has experienced a litany of technical difficuties.
There are presently 7,518 cases of COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 134 cases of COVID-19 in the Beehive State in the past 24 hours but represents a -12 decrease in the past 24 hours.
There have been 177,311 total tests administered for COVID-19 in Utah. With 3,289 tests having occurred in the past 24 hours, the positive test percentage has remained at 4.24 percent for the second consecutive day.
4.074 percent of Utahns tested in the past 24 hours for COVID-19 came back with positive tests. There have been 619 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in Utah which is an increase of 24 from Sunday-Monday.
There are now 88 deaths in Utah from COVID-19, an increase of 8 from the previous day.
Wasatch County had a challenging past 24 hours as there are now 212 COVID-19 cases in Utah. This is an increase of 9 from Monday’s total. There remain 10 hospitalizations and one death (April 10) in Wasatch County from the virus.
Utah Gov. Gary Herbert and the Utah Coronavirus Task Force are expected to address media in the Beehive State Wednesday for the weekly briefing.
