Tuesday covid-19 Stats Updated for Utah; 90 Percent of Wasatch County Cases Are Recovered

SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, the latest covid-19 statistics were updated for Utah by the state department of health.

Among the information revealed is that Wasatch County has not recorded any new cases of covid-19 for the past 48 hours.

Per information from Trudy Brereton, the health education and media relations coordinator at the Wasatch County Health Department, Wasatch County is 90.1 percent recovered from covid-19.

There remains 658 all-time cases in Wasatch County for covid-19. The hospitalizations (28) and deaths (7) remain unchanged in the past 24 hours in Wasatch County.

The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred August 28.

There have been 55,359 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah per Tuesday’s report. This is an increase of 326 in the past 24 hours and a decrease of 47 in the past 24 hours. Since last Friday, there has been a net decrease of 227 cases in Utah.

695,347 Utahns have been tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 3,604 Utahns in the past 24 hours.

This caused the positive test percentage to increase to 7.96 percent from Monday’s 7.95 percent. The 24-hour positive test percentage dropped to 9.045 percent Tuesday. Monday, this was at 12.4 percent.

Recoveries remained modest in Utah, a trend that has occurred for almost a full calendar week. There are 46,722 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah per Tuesday’s report. This is an increase of 254 in the past 24 hours. This caused the recovery percentage to drop to 84.39 percent from Monday’s 84.43 percent.

The gap between all-time cases and active cases increased to 8,637 Tuesday. This is a net increase of 72 in the past 24 hours.

There are 8,213 active cases in Utah. This is a net increase of 71 in the past 24 hours. This caused the active case percentage to increase to 14.83 percent.

The differential between recoveries and active cases increased to 38,509 Tuesday. This is a net increase of 183 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 3,242 hospitalizations in Utah for covid-19 since statistics began being kept. This is an increase of 17 in the past 24 hours.

The current hospitalizations dropped to 115 Tuesday. This is a net decrease of six in the past 24 hours. This dropped the current hospitalization percentage to 3.55 percent.

There are currently 41 ICU cases who are currently hospitalized for covid-19. This is a net decrease of 8 in the past 24 hours. This caused the ICU current covid-19 hospitalization percentage to drop to 35.7 percent.

Currently, 62.4 percent of ICU is occupied in Utah.

There was one new death in Utah attributed to covid-19 in the past 24 hours, raising the total to 424 deaths. The current death percentage in Utah dropped to 0.765 percent. Monday, this was at 0.769 percent.
