Tuesday COVID-19 Stats Released For Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, the updated COVID-19 statistics have been released for Utah.

There are presently 8,620 total cases of COVID-19 in the Beehive State. Relatively speaking, this is a paltry increase in the past 24 hours as the net total cases from Monday-Tuesday only increased to 99.

This represents a -30 decrease in net positive cases in the past 24 hours.

Presently, 198,592 total tests for COVID-19 have been administered in Utah. This is an increase of 2,124 in the past 24 hours.

Because of the minimal amount of administered tests, for the second consecutive day, the overall positive test percentage rose slightly. It is presently at 4.34 percent.

In the past 24 hours, the positive test percentage is presently at 4.66 percent. This is a significant decrease from Monday’s totals in that span (6.33 percent).

Overall, 5,346 of those who have had COVID-19 have recovered, or 62.1 percent.

There have been 696 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 4 in the past 24 hours. However, only 98 Utahns are hospitalized presently, or 14.1 percent of those affected.

There are 101 deaths from COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 3.

In Wasatch County, there are currently 253 cases of COVID-19. This is an increase of 6 from the previous day. There are 11 hospitalizations and one death in Wasatch County from COVID-19. The death occurred April 10.
