Trump and White House Coronavirus Task Force Speak on Dangers of Narcotics

WASHINGTON-Wednesday, United States president Donald Trump and the White House coronavirus task force again addressed the national media as part of the daily series of COVID-19 briefings.

Trump primarily focused his remarks on the dangers of narcotics and how the U.S. government is doing the best it can to shut down all illegal narcotics operations.

This is cogent to the COVID-19 discussion because as foreigners, those who create the drug cartels may likely be carrying the coronavirus with them.

Other remarks explored the particular destruction of the Mexican cartels as being a key goal of the Trump Administration.

Trump concluded his remarks by saying that while “we are preparing for the worst,” he is all about “helping everybody.”

Trump also dismissed notions of locking down the entire country, saying such things are left up to the discretion of governors.

U.S. National Security Advisor Robert C. O’Brien also spoke of the importance of suppressing illegal narcotics operations in the U.S.

Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, when asked about how long social distancing regulations must be adhered to said, that when the days come when there are no new cases and no new deaths, these current norms may be relaxed.

This appears to be the turning point physicians and other medical professionals are hoping for.
