Thursday Stats For COVID-19 Released In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, COVID-19 statistics for the state of Utah were released.

Presently, there are 7,874 positive tests for COVID-19 in the Beehive State.

This is an increase of 164 cases from Wednesday, but represents a decrease of 28 net cases in the past 24 hours.

182,874 total tests for COVID-19 in the Beehive State have been administered. This is an increase of 3,210 total tests in the past 24 hours.

The overall positive test percentage in the past 24 hours increased to 4.305 percent.

However, the 24-hour positive test percentage dropped precipitously as 5.1 percent of Utahns tested from Wednesday-Thursday tested positive. Wednesday’s totals in the past 24 hours had this at 8.15 percent.

There have been 647 hospitalizations in the past 24 hours which is an increase of 16 hospitalizations from Wednesday.

There are now 92 deaths in Utah from COVID-19, as this increased by two from Wednesday’s totals.

Of the 7,874 who have tested positive for COVID-19, 4,596 have recovered, or just under 58.4 percent of those affected.

Wasatch County has five new cases of COVID-19, increasing the net total to 222. This includes 10 hospitalizations and one death. The death occurred April 10.
